Top 10 Most Asked Questions

1. How often do you have to change whole house water filters?

AlkaViva use 20" x 4.5" filters to cut down on the frequency of changing filters so it is recommended for normal use to replace these filter cartridges every 12 months. If you have a larger family or use a large amount of water then you could consider changing the filters ever 9 months.

2. Can you remove fluoride with a Whole House System?

Yes. Fluoride is considered one of the more difficult contaminants to remove so AlkaViva import specialized Bone Char fluoride removing filters from the USA. This media is designed to be used as a dedicated filter to ensure maximum fluoride - in excess of 90% is removed from your water.

3. Is there a difference in the quality of Whole house Systems?

Yes. There is a difference in the external quality of the systems, however, the biggest difference in quality is in filter cartridges inside the housings. These cartridges are the engine room of the system and the quality can vary from cheap and nasty to high grade premium quality. AlkaViva offer the best quality filter cartridges imported directly from the USA. This ensures the optimum quality water from every system in the range.

4. How much should I pay for a top quality Whole House Water system?

The answer to this question depends on what you want the system to remove. Our Whole House Systems start at $899 for a 2 stage Rainwater System and go all the way to $1799 for a 4 stage Maximum Fluoride and Maximum Chlorine System. Other systems retail for up to $3500 so it's a good idea to discuss your needs with one of our expert consultants to make sure you get exactly the system your looking for on (02) 9000 1998.

5. Does your price include installation?

No. Our prices are for the systems only. As we have customers all over Australia and New Zealand we recommend using a local qualified plumber for your installation. This makes sure travel time is kept to a minimum which means installation costs are kept down. If you don't already have a plumber in mind many people reach out on hipages.com.au in Australia and builderscrack.co.nz in New Zealand to get competitive quotes from local plumbers and check customer reviews.
