There are 2 options to clean the SPE electrodes and PEM membrane which should be done about once a month:

1. Using citric acid powder, which can be purchased from the supermarket, add about 100 ml of water then add a level teaspoon of citric acid powder. Give it a good shake and let it sit for an hour or 2. Then tip it out and give the bottle a rinse.

2. Do exactly the same process as above except use about 30ml of white vinegar instead of citric acid.

To clean the bottle chamber and lid just use warm soapy water but unscrew the base first as this should only be gently wiped on the outside and not saturated with water.
