These are for use where additional filtering is required above the ioniser capacity eg where an ioniser has a single filter and a pre-filter is required for adding a dedicated fluoride pre-filter. These can be installed standalone if required in-line with a water source.
To hold the external water pre-filters in place, an external filter housing is needed. The housing includes all of the necessary fittings to connect to the water supply feeding your ioniser. Although the capacity of each filter inside the housing varies (see individual filter products - fluoride and sediment), a typical filter housing itself is good for approximately 7 years.
